About this event

Must recognize and be comfortable with reading/making these stitches and abbreviations - single crochet (SC), stitch[es] (ST/STS), round[s] (RND/RNDS), increase (INC), decrease (DEC), single crochet together (SCTOG), front loop only (FLO). Must also have basic understanding of how to read a crochet pattern.***

Manapua madness? Yes, please! Join Malia to learn how to make this deliciously kawaii baozi, or cute chunky crocheted amigurumi bao (stuffed/steamed dumpling). Known in Hawai'i as manapua, you get your choice of a full skein of Bernat purple "sweet potato" yarn or "regular steamed" cream yarn to create this ami.

Supplies included:

  • 1 skein Bernat yarn
  • Safety eyes
  • Felt accents
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • 8mm crochet hook
  • large-eye yarn needle & a stitch marker

You will go home with at least one finished bao piece, unstuffed or stuffed, & all the included supplies listed to complete your amigurumi at home, if you are unable to complete in class.

All supplies are included in this workshop
